Recently, Mylink Law Office represented well-known German dairy producer and its domestic importer in registration and to participate in the countervailing investigation of dairy products initiated by the Ministry of Commerce of China (“MOFCOM”).
On July 29, 2024, MOFCOM received a formal anti-subsidy investigation application submitted by the China Dairy Industry Association and the China Dairy Products Industry Association, requesting an investigation into the anti-subsidy measures on imported dairy products originating from the European Union (“EU”). Pursuant to the Countervailing Regulations of the People's Republic of China, MOFCOM issued an invitation for consultations to the EU government on August 7th and held consultations with the EU government on August 14th. After a preliminary review, MOFCOM decided to initiate a countervailing investigation on the relevant imported products since August 21st.
